If I could describe my classes in one word, it would be "Joyful"!
After a year of practicing, I fell deeply in love with yoga's graceful but transformative power. Due to my desire to help others transform, I completed a 200 hour YA-registered teacher's training course through NYC-based Bamboo Moves. Now I regularly teach warm Hatha Flow and more challenging Vinyasa-style classes.
With a light heart, I truly enjoy guiding my students through a process of letting go using breath work, flowing sequences, and guided meditation. My classes are suitable for all levels of experience.
It is important to me that you feel at ease and completely accepted just as you are. I hold a judgment-free space for all who are drawn to come and reconnect with beautiful, authentic self.

Eve found yoga during the summer of 2010. That discovery was the beginning of a beautiful journey of healing. Through the practice and study of yoga, Eve has learned how to find peace and contentment even in the most challenging situations. Yoga has taught her to become her own best friend, and to break many self-defeating habits and patterns of thought. Eve completed her 200-hour RYT training at Vibe Yoga School in June of 2014. She is now working towards her 500-hour RYT training. Eve is also an Elementary School Teacher in Bloomington, Indiana. When she is not teaching children or practicing yoga, she can be found spending time with friends, family, and her sweet dogs Wilson and Polly.

Deb Hackman

Yoga Instructor:

The stress of college guided Debbie to her first yoga class in the early 1980’s. She found the relief and peace that she was seeking in yoga class, then and now. Deciding to certify after about 20 years of practicing yoga, she certified with Judith Lasater in 2003 at Yellow Springs, Ohio. Originally from Toto, Indiana, Deb continues to make her place among the Indiana yoga community.

Deb practices Gentle Hatha Yoga because she finds Hatha Yoga to be gentle and kind to the body, while increasing flexibility and strength. Her favorite pose in her practice is down dog. It takes her out of her normal positioning and requires her to be mindful of her entire body’s placement.

One thing that she would want to say to a student walking into her class for the first time is “please hear my words, but listen to your bodies.”

If Deb was a season, she would be autumn. She loves the settling, cooling and observing all the exciting colors.

Amie Selke Gastineau

Yoga Instructor:

Amie was about 11 yrs old when she took her first yoga class at a local studio in Bloomington, IN. The class was partners yoga series that she took with her mom. For many years following, her practice was not steady or focused in any one tradition but she would always come back to the practice. Finally in 2011, after spending a weekend at Satchidananda Ashram in Virginia, she decided to attend their 200hr residential Integral Yoga Basic Teacher Training. Amie is a RN in the mental health field and began sharing the ancient teaching of yoga in the hospital where she works. Amie has seen yoga be very helpful to many her patients just as it has been helpful to herself throughout her life. Amie continues her studies with Integral Yoga at Satchidananda Ashram through different residential teacher trainings and received her 500hr certificate in April 2014.  Her most recent study was an 80hr Restorative Yoga Training which she completed on March 1st 2015. "I will say that training has changed my outlook on all styles of yoga. A restorative practice allows the body to release on a much deeper level. Which I believe today in our society is needed. Less doing, more being and more caring. I will leave you with a verse from the Bhagavad Gita 2.49 “ Equanimity of the mind is Yoga. Do Everything Arjuna, centered in that equanimity. Renouncing all attachments, you'll enjoy an undisturbed mind in success or failure”.
Om Shanti, Peace, Peace, Peace.

Beth Lazarus

Beth discovered her passion for yoga, wellness and fitness after raising her children and finding time to take care of herself. Beth began her fitness career in 2009 after completing a cardio dance instructor certification. The combination of cardio dance exercise and strength training helped her achieve her highest level of health and fitness. Beth realized that something was lacking in her routine and found the missing piece of the puzzle by adding the practice of yoga, achieving the perfect balance of emotional, physical and spiritual health. Beth completed her 200 hour YTT in 2014 and is currently working toward her prenatal certification. Beth is co-owner and class manager of Touchstone Yoga and Massage and general manager of Anytime Fitness, Bloomington and Evansville, IN. Beth dedicates her practice to her father, Ken Lazarus, having lived the last 11 years of his life as a quadriplegic with faith, acceptance and grace.

Nicole DeGain

Yoga Instructor:

Nicole started integrating yoga & pilates into her fitness plan by home DVDs in high school. It wasn’t until 2012 that she took it to the level of instructor guided classes. It escalated quickly after noticing physical & mental benefits. She began taking workshops to deepen her practice and ultimately completed the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2014 and became Broga Yoga licensed in 2015.

Nicole has enjoyed teaching and has a drive to bring yoga to others who wouldn’t necessarily think of it as an option for cross training. She has spent the majority of her teaching hours thus far with athletes. However, is open to all classes because of Yoga’s versatility. “We could fill a room with practitioners of various ages, athletic ability, and knowledge of yoga. Queue them all in the same way, and have many, many versions flowing simultaneously. That is why Yoga is beautiful to me,” says Nicole.

Nicole resides on the south side of Bloomington with her husband, Pat, mini-yogi daughters, Noel & Lila. And a few… others- dogs, guineas, chickens, pigs and Donkey.

Michelle Gaona

Michelle's interest in flow arts begin with hula hooping. Moving, flowing, and become one with her hoop gave her the same feelings as when she learned to breathe, flow, and become one with her mat.
Originally from South Bend, IU brought her to Bloomington for college. She received her RYT 200 certification through Bamboo Moves hosted by Know Yoga Know Peace in Bloomington.
Michelle teaches Hatha Flow and Touchstone26. She enjoys flowing from pose to pose with time built in to find the ease of the breath and the strength in every moment of stillness.
Her favorite pose is working with inversion to get to scorpion. She feels that you should go upside down at least once a day. Scorpion reminds me to see the strength within the solar plexus, which is correlated with her favorite chakra, the third chakra. Strong bodies, strong minds.
To anyone new to her class, Michelle would say " the hardest part is already over. Making the choice to arrive to your mat is all you must do...and then breathe..and the rest will follow."
When asked what season Michelle would be she replied "I'd be spring. Baron Baptiste once said 'the pose begins when you want to leave it.' In a time of new beginning, I can remind myself to be present with each moment and enjoy the journey."
Enjoy a wonderful, multi level yoga class at a reduced rate. Our way of giving back to the community who gives so much to us.
